Shoe Firm Fined For Wage Hour Law Violation

In Boston on March 3 a Lawrence based shoe company the Gerber Shoe Company and Nathan Gerber treasurer and general manager were fined 2000 dollars after pleading guilty in U S District Court to wage hour law violations. The firm is described as 60 years old and the second criminal indictment to be returned in the nation under the wage hour act.

Indicted Mansfield Officials Set for Monday Arraignment

Three former Mansfield officials indicted by the Richland County grand jury on embezzlement charges face arraignment in common pleas court next Monday. Allen K. Ports, Russell K. Erdenberger, and A. H. Marvin allegedly misappropriated funds totaling 4259 in municipal court, 1700 in conservancy tax collections, and 3500 in water rentals and electric bill receipts.
