Elyria man arrested in restaurant robbery
An Elyria youth identified by witnesses as the gunman who robbed Tudy's Restaurant on North Ridge Road was arrested on Lake Avenue. Herbert Johnson, 20, of 1048 Garden St., was charged with aggravated robbery after deputies recovered part of the stolen money and a .22 revolver. He was arrested about 30 minutes after the 9 11 p.m. robbery with clothing matching the suspect.
