Convenient Bus and Limo Service, facing ruin from vandalism and debts, reports potential loan offers up to 15000 dollars to restore service between Elyria and Lorain. Owner Richard Egg says total need is 30000 to cover debts and operating funds as city contracts hang in limbo.
Wilbur Korb a blind newspaper stand operator and his blind wife Pauline were in a home collision. Mrs Korb needed surgery and recovered at home. Neighbors and customers began using unusual five ten and twenty dollar bills to provide an extra $1,254 to help with hospital bills through the banker who noted the method.
A 67 year old man from LaGrange Road died yesterday from carbon monoxide poisoning in an apartment behind a repair shop. Deputy R G Thomas said the death is accidental after deputies found a gas heater on with no vent and no windows open. The victim, Golden J Hildenbrandt, had worked at General Industries and driven a school bus for 11 years. the body was found by his son Raymond after a neighbor reported not seeing him all day. UPI reports Senator Edward M. Kennedy told reporters on arriving in Ireland that he will not be a candidate for the Democratic presidential nomination in 1972. Crowds cheered as he and his wife Joan toured Dublin and Shannon stops, while leftist students protested.
Guerrilla frogmen blew up a 40 foot bridge on Highway 1 near Thanh Quit seven miles south of Da Nang, severing the Da Nang Hue supply route. Military sources said the blast cut the main road from Da Nang Marine HQ to Leatherneck units in the Que Son Valley.

U S treasure craft Jocelyn C was boarded by Cuban seamen near La Habana. Five aboard reported aboard the 65 foot vessel while a Cuban crewman was freed and escorted toward Cuban waters as the Coast Guard cutter Steadfast monitored the scene from offshore. The incident unfolded 149 miles from the boarding point to La Habana as Havana broadcasts made no mention of the affair.
In Houston US District Court Judge Ben Connally sentenced Leary to ten years in prison on charges of illegal marijuana transport into the United States. The high priest of the drug set saled but appeared queer during the proceedings as authorities presented the case.
