Propane firm Level Propane fined in New York settlement
Ohio based Level Propane Gases agreed to pay 17000 in penalties and 2375 in charges waived to 14 New York customers who faced empty tanks or inflated prices. Regulators said the firm failed to respond to urgent calls, misled customers, and reneged on contracts in Buffalo Rochester and Syracuse regions. Kathleen Kessler received 250 refund after her family of six had to leave Lakeville home. Level Propane is a Level Energy Group subsidiary serving about 6000 NY customers.
