25 Years After Gunfire Lebron Demands Puerto Rican Flag Back
Lolita Lebron, now 68, in Alderson prison writes to President Carter via attorney demanding the confiscated Puerto Rican flag be returned. She calls herself a political prisoner and describes the flag as historic and invaluable to Puerto Rican patriots. The 1954 House attack wounded five lawmakers and injured others. Lebron is joined by two other imprisoned activists with one released earlier for cancer.
