Fire alarm housing panel plan for Elyria station
The public safety and environment committee backed Fire Chief Lyle C. Scott's report to bid a panel that would centralize the Elyria Fire Department station number one alarms. The plan would place all current boxes in one location with no city moving cost and use a national code framework for installation and enforcement. The committee also asked officials to work with the city solicitor to adopt updated national fire codes to replace outdated ones.
