A new gas well delivering two million cubic feet daily was completed at the Wensink Farm in Ridgeville township by L FifeGrath for Lorain County Gas Company. The well lies 800 feet north of the first Ridgeville Ridge township well on Myers farm. The company, Ohio incorporated with Elyria-based stockholders, aims to boost local drilling. Another well about 2,000 feet deep is under way at Baily farm along Center Ridge road by Kimbro interests of Wooster. The Ridgeville gas trend extends from Avon Village through Ridgeville and Carlisle townships, with Carlisle already rich in prolific wells.
