Mourners Gather for Slain Mom Davis Funeral Set Today
A vigil on the Davis home front lawn drew a somber crowd nine days after her body was found. Volunteers had searched three days around Lake Township before the remains were located. Attendees offered prayers and condolences for Davis and her 24 year old son Blake as red and white candles glowed and an overhead news helicopter circled. Davis, not related to those at the gathering, expressed heartbreak and noted the impact on the community. Andrew Byler, a Hartville resident who helped in the search, said the family’s pain is hard to grasp. The vigil concluded with a sunset as a funeral was planned for today.
