Defense seeks to halt demolition in Lorain arson murder case
Lawyers for Nicole Diaz, charged with aggravated murder and aggravated arson in the 2004 death of her 4 year old son Jacob Diar, push for an emergency temporary restraining order and a permanent order to stop bulldozing the burned West 10th Street house. The defense seeks to view the home at trial and to preserve evidence, arguing demolition would prejudice a fair trial. The state has conducted tests, while the defense seeks access to perform its own analyses before trial.
