Judge refuses to drop Ferrari from Eaton Township clinic suit
Visiting Judge Joseph F. Diver denied Dr. Victor J. Ferrari's bid for summary judgment in the suit filed by Lorain County Prosecutor Gregory A. White to shutter Doctors Clinic as a public nuisance. Ferrari claimed he rented clinic offices briefly in 1980 and argued he did not run the clinic or its pharmacy amid raids and drug-violation arrests. The judge noted ongoing hearings by the Ohio Medical Board into charges of improper prescribing and non medical motives, with a permanent injunction hearing set for July 20. Ferrari testified he prescribed drugs for Faymore who was away, while defending himself in a medical board proceeding that could strip his license.
