Rhodes vetoes 72 budget items cutting agency costs
Gov. James A. Rhodes vetoes 72 items in the Democratic budget bill totaling 10.6 billion and orders a minimum two percent across the board operating cut for all state agencies to cover an over 100 million funding gap. He says services will continue without tax increases and the state will enter the new fiscal year with authority intact.
