Canton Ohio June 30. Picket lines at Republic Steel and United Alloys mills clashed with non strikers as guardsmen with bayonets and riot guns protected the gates. A volley of stones shattered windshields and blood flowed from injuries as 490 workers returned to jobs under police and militia supervision. Eight strikers were taken into custody.

Two Lorain Men Fined and Jailed for Petit Larceny
Everett Welch and Earl R. Bower, both 26, of 322 West 27th Street Lorain, were fined $30 and sentenced to 10 days in Lorain County jail after pleading guilty to petit larceny.
