Mrs Elizabeth Balech 58 of 2512 East avenue died in Memorial hospital from wood alcohol poisoning. Her husband John 57 is near death and permanently blind. Police search for source of the poison liquor after a pint purchased Sunday caused acute illness. Coroner Peebles sent tissue for analysis and believes the case may lead to an arrest. Funeral services for Mrs Balech will be Thursday at 10 AM.
