Three persons suffered injuries in Elyria yesterday as a spate of traffic accidents hit the city. Police logged nine mishaps with seven occurring between 12 48 and 4 55 pm. Details include a motorcycle collision at West Tremont. a three car crash on Broad near West Ave. a squirrel crossing blamed for a minor hit on East Broad.

Turnpike Patrol Nets Two Arrests at Village
AMHERST The Turnpike Patrol arrested two drivers last night and today. Gordon Olson of Munhall Pennsylvania posted a $20 bond after being charged with crossing the center line. George B Gunnell 45 of Ogden Utah also posted a $20 bond for speeding. A parked car on Church Street damaged a tail light of Elyria’s Mrs Milo Sandow 118 Longford Street who backed into a light pole.

Mrs. Josephine Jones of North Main Street expresses pride as her son the Rev. Howard C. Jones is named to evangelist Billy Graham’s crusade team in New York. The 135 member staff may include him permanently, with future northern and southern crusades possible. Jones, born in Cleveland, an Oberlin High School graduate, studied at Nyack Missionary Institute and has pastored in New York and Cleveland. The couple recently returned from a four month evangelical tour of Nigeria, Liberia, and other African regions.

Planes Collide in Sea off Sorrento Amid NATO Mission
In Naples Italy a U S Air Force jet and an Italian fighter collided and crashed into the sea near Sorrento during NATO Operation Mediterranean Friday. An intensive search found no wreckage or pilots. The American pilot's name was withheld.
