Cleveland police arrested three youths after a Wakeman station hold up left two men wounded. Emil Bonomo, 16, and John Blaha, 18, were hospitalized with arm injuries. Police say the trio confessed to 13 west side gas station holdups in Cleveland and four more out of town.

Akron Gas Rates Cut Effective July 7
Akron, Ohio June 29 Reduced gas rates for Akron consumers will become effective July 7 when the hast Ohio Gas Company franchise becomes operative. The new rates are 83 cents for the first 200 cubic feet and 50 cents for each 1000 feet thereafter. The old rates were 83 cents for the first 800 cubic feet, 55 cents per 1000 for the next 4700 feet, and 60 cents for each additional 1000 feet.

Killer slain by posse near Opelika after fatal arrest
Opelika Alabama June 22 Charley Miller was slain by a posse an hour after fatally shooting Sheriff W J Jones who was trying to arrest him for murdering his wife and two other people. Miller then wounded his brother in law and his wife before barricading in his home. Sheriff Jones and a friend moved to the scene and Miller fired on them. A posse of about six men tracked Miller to a wooded area three miles from Opelika and killed him after a brief encounter. No posse members were hurt.

The Elyria Park Commission will inaugurate swimming classes at Cascade Park on Tuesday July 5 and run through July for beginners intermediates and advanced swimmers for children and adults. Enrollment opens tomorrow at the pool office with two morning periods 9 30 to 10 15 and 10 15 to 11. Minimum age six years and enrollment limited to those completing the full course July 5 to August 3. Miss Dorothy E Snyder supervises with Lews Keller in charge of lifesaving work assisted by Helen Hutt and James Lamberton. The teaching corps includes 26 instructors many former teachers. Four practice sessions for teachers have been held with a long list of instructors named.
