Elyria youth dies of drug overdose at rock festival

A 20 year old Elyria youth, Randy Runkle, son of Lloyd and unknown mother, died at the Celebration of Life rock festival in Pointe Coupee Parish from a methadone overdose. He had recently moved to Fort Lauderdale to seek work and had a history of music interest. Funeral arrangements are handled by Bittner Decarlo Funeral Home of Elyria. Two other drownings were reported Saturday in the Atchafalaya region.

Roger Blough blaze containment in Lorain shipyard
