Sweden’s Egalia preschool adopts gender neutral approach
In Stockholm’s Sodermalm Egalia bans gendered terms and uses friends for all 33 children ages 1 to 6. The school curates toys books and activities to avoid stereotypes and even features gay and transgender inclusive books and role play. Some parents fear overreach while proponents cite equality goals and a long admission wait list.
