Youth learn to play ball with big leaguers at Progressive Field
Lorain County youths from the Elyria YWCA and Lorain Urban and Minority Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Outreach Program joined students from local schools at Progressive Field. Indians staff and player Jamey Carroll led stations on nutrition strength training and steroid awareness. Carroll shared his minor league draft tale and motivation to stay in shape. The event, funded by the Lorain County Alcohol and Drug Addiction Services Board, supports a county steroid prevention effort across nine schools.
