Elyria panel rejects funding for Lorain County Transit
Elyria City Council committee unanimously rejected paying 5500 to Lorain County Transit for operating costs. Finance members cited a near empty budget with 11275 unappropriated funds and storms damage, while suggesting LCT seek support from community development. LCT serves nine cities, townships, and villages with an 8 percent population-based request. Mohr urged stable funding, noting LCT’s countywide role and need for a dedicated local source.
