Lorain Educator Joins National Fellows Seminar in Georgia
Lorain educator Geri KE Cookie Grafton, supervisor at Lorain City Schools, will attend the 21st Academy of Fellows summer program at Agnes Scott College in Atlanta. Two Lorain High students, Norman Husar and Tricia Saegert, win scholarships to study at universities. Lew Delgross, Lorain High English chair, joins a UCSB seminar on Moby Dick funded by NEH running June 27 through August 5.

Basketball clinic set for N R girls
A girls basketball clinic for grades 6 to 12 will run July 12 to 14 at the South Central Park courts. The Parks and Recreation Department sponsors the sessions from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. daily with a $10 participation fee. Pre register by July 8 at the Parks office or call 327-6811 for details.

Oberlin detours marked for road repair projects
Area road work near Oberlin will close Route 10 and 20 intersection until July 30 and delay north or east entrances through July. Westbound Rt 20 traffic may use Parsons Road Hamilton Street or Rt 58 to enter Oberlin. Northbound Rt 58 resurfacing may finish by July 31. Affected routes include Butternut Ridge Road between Oberlin and West Ridge townships closed until week’s end.
