Income tax option debated by Black River board
The Black River District board of education held a special meeting to discuss a 1 percent income tax projected to raise about 280000. They must decide by July 1 to request funds and by Sept 1 to place a tax on the November ballot. Community members urged cost concerns and questioned funding stability. The board plans another meeting Monday at 8 pm at the high school.
