In a joint statement three Elyria banks announce five day weeks from Monday to Friday with hours from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm Monday to Thursday and 9:00 am to 5:30 pm Friday. They remain open Wednesday afternoon and on certain holidays.

Restaurant Burglary Reported at Grafton
Co owners Mrs Lucille Cornish and Mrs Gertrude Watson reported a burglary at the Grafton restaurant Monday night. About $17 was taken from the cash register along with 16 cartons of cigarettes and cigars. The thief also took ham potato salad and tomatoes from the refrigerator after breaking a window in a door.
