Avon man indicted for second degree murder in Schindler case
Henry Barnes 32 of Avon was indicted by Lorain county grand jury for second degree murder in the May 30 shooting death of Mrs Nellie Schindler at her Avon home. The trial is set to start July 6 with Barnes pleading not guilty. Additional indictments include Raymond Riley, James Wilson, Theodore Kumler, Sam Jones, and Nick Sisel.

Former Urbana College President Fatally Injured
Dr. Henry E. Schradieck former Urbana College president died after a car overturn in a rain storm near Baltimore. His wife Mrs Schradieck sustained serious injuries and was hospitalized. Rails to be removed on Cleve land Southwestern line
Removal of rails of the Cleveland Southwestern Railway from Wellington to Oberlin to begin Monday and take about four weeks. Afterward, rails from Oberlin to Elyria will be removed and Elyria pavement rails salvaged, as rails in pavement would cost paving to replace.
