Tine Adogaravi of Togo describes Guinea worm infections and malaria as common due to unclean water sources. She notes the worm migrates through the skin causing large sores and widespread illness from contaminated drinking water.

The Supreme Court ruled 5 4 that school districts cannot be held liable for teachers sexual harassment if districts were unaware of misconduct, limiting damages in a Texas case involving a ninth grade student. The decision narrows accountability for supervisory officials under the 1972 anti bias law.
Avon police report a 25 year old Avon man, Brian Caco of Center Road, died after his Nissan Maxima veered off Route 83 near Mills and Riegelsberger roads. He was thrown from the car and pinned beneath it, firefighters freed him, he was flown to MetroHealth Medical Center and died at 7 a.m. The coroner will perform an autopsy as investigators continue the crash probe.
North Ridgeville wedding at the Northridge Retirement Community features Bert Heiser age 91 and Trudy age 88 pledging enduring love with 11 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren in attendance. The ceremony occurred after a quick ring moment as a crooner sang and rose petals framed the reception. Trudy, legally blind, credited Bert with guiding them on walks that sparked their marriage.
