Ohio Fuel enlarges gas bank near Wellington

Ohio Fuel and Gas Co. began drilling a 12 well network one mile east of Wellington as part of a 1962 plan to enlarge storage. Three wells 2,400 feet deep are finished and six more are near completion along Route 18. The project costs about 230000 and will boost storage for northern Ohio customers. Most gas is purchased out of state and brought in by pipeline for winter use.
