Key witness testifies in Mason case over travel reimbursements
UPI reports Michael E. Hoffman, former airline ticket supervisor, testified that two checks totaling 1029 dollars to Tony Mason were for legitimate airline travel reimbursements. Hoffman, who doubled as a witness for the defense, said he would face trouble if he didn’t accept the payments, while denying issuing receipts to basketball coaches. The trial also heard Patricia Evans describe receipts Mason provided for university reimbursements and notes that Hoffman has admitted to cooperating with prosecutors.
