Moon linked to control of Diplomats National Bank
A House subcommittee plans to press federal agencies for a joint probe into whether Rev. Sut Myung Moon and associates secretly gained control of the Diplomat National Bank in Washington. Investigators cite Moon followers owning a voting block of 42,820 shares of the bank, capitalized at 2.4 million, with Moon's group investing 1.07 million. A suspected conduit for foreign money is being scrutinized under federal law.

Washington (UPI) The share of women, blacks, Latinos and youths among 1301 delegates from the first 25 states under no quota rules is well below 1972. Strauss noted 34.3% women, 10.6% blacks, 3% Latinos and 14.8% youths, with declines from 1972 but still higher than 1968 in most groups. He called the cuts preliminary but significant.
