Washington The government stockpiles 23 million pounds of aging sperm whale oil blocked from sale by the Justice Department under the Endangered Species Act. After service on December 8, charges were brought by clergy and lay members. the standing committee found probable cause for trial. The dissenting member invites women priests to celebrate Eucharist. The movement gains momentum, with supporters calling the effort irrepressible as the church anticipates a General Convention in 1976 or later to address ordination.
