Avon Library seeks bond and levy on November ballot
Lorain Public Library System trustees urged Avon City Council to place a bond and a 2.31 mill operating levy on the November ballot to fund a new 30,000 square foot Avon library. The bond could raise up to 12 million over 25 years and the levy would generate about 1.75 million annually. The existing 10,400 square foot library would stay open during construction and become an operations center.

Elyria teen indicted as assault after breaking into Lorain County Family Court Judge David Basinski's Columbus Street home in February. He was 17 at the time. Four arrested in North Ridgeville vehicle break-ins
