Mosley earns shot at rematch with De La Hoya
Sugar Shane Mosley defeats Oscar De La Hoya by split decision at Staples Center to claim the WEC welterweight title and push for a rematch. Promoters Arum and Kushner want a bout in November in Los Angeles or Las Vegas as the crowd of 20,724 witnesses Mosley surge in the second half. De La Hoya, 1992 Olympic champ, vows to rethink strategy after two of his last three decisions.
