June 19 Berlin faces a nationwide vote as police and citizens halt business to back the bitter campaign over whether the former German monarchy should be deprived of throne. Eight million voters are urged to cast ballots tomorrow amid predictions of a surprising outcome and anger over past hopes for a miracle.
Dr Peter M Stark and Dr W J Morgan were attacked at a Cincinnati hotel after consuming suspected poisoned liquor. Coroner D C Winters on scene reported one victim undergoing medical care while investigators pursued two suspects connected to the incident.
