La Quinta Man Buys 17000 Bananas Themed Items For Museum Startup
Fred Garbutt moves to boost business with plans to open a banana museum in North Shore near the Salton Sea. He buys Bannister’s 17000 banana kitsch items, aiming to create a full blown exhibit space beside Skip's Liquors, after Bannister once housed the collection in Hesperia and Altadena.
