Quarries Worry South Amherst Teens At Drowning Risk
South Amherst officials and police worry about teens visiting the Cleveland Quarries after a drowning last week involving Amherst teen Justin Capra IB. They note 60 to 100 youths gather on weekends despite no trespassing signs and lack of official enforcement. A no parking zone along Route 113 and better quarry oversight are discussed while Cleveland Quarries maintains a limited guard presence.
