Economy needs time says top economists survey
A AP survey of lead economists finds the best cure for the economy is time not stimulus. They predict slower growth and 1.9 million jobs this year with unemployment near 8.7 percent by year end. Most oppose new Fed bond buying, citing inflation and market disruption risks. Obama pushes smaller hiring boosts as lawmakers debate debt and borrowing. He visited Durham to announce training 10,000 engineers annually.
