Imperial Glass to close most of plant in Ohio
Imperial Glass Co. plans to shut down most operations by week’s end with 27 workers laid off as it seeks to meet a court ordered June 29 deadline to close or reorganize. Owner Robert F. Stahl Jr. said a liquidation plan may salvage minimal assets while shipments to wholesale customers end June 22 and the company’s retail store closes a week later. Imperial owes Lennox Crystal Co. about 2.5 million dollars.
