Two Teens Arrested Over Kindergarten Bus Shooting
In New Haven two teens were arrested after a school bus carrying seven kindergartners was shot at in a gang gunbattle. A 6 year old boy, Cesar Sandoval, was hit in the head and remains in critical condition after surgery. The arrests include a 15 year old charged with first degree assault and related counts, and a 17 year old with undisclosed charges. Police increased patrols near bus routes and an officer was assigned to the scene area. Doctors say removal of the bullet is risky but a full recovery remains possible if swelling does not occur.
