New Haven Educator Calls for Peace Use in US Initiatives
Dr Jerome Davis, New Haven educator and Oberlin College trustee, spoke to about 190 at the annual Elyria Council of Churches meeting. He urged peace through goodwill, criticized militarism, and cited US policies in China and abroad that alienate nations. He emphasized translating faith into community action and urged citizens to strengthen Christian forces at home. The meeting elected Dr Earl R. Henderson as president and named officers and committee members for the coming year.

State Highway Patrol investigated a minor two vehicle crash yesterday on Elyna Ave south of Lorain. No injuries or arrests reported. Drivers were Frank Diazones 61 of 432 West 10th Street Elyna Lana Rolland B Cox 51 of 720 Sixth Street Lorain. About 545 pm the eastbound Paonessas car sideswiped the Cox vehicle while passing.

Three Wellington Men Fined in Mayors Court
Osco McKiney of Wellington fined 15 dollars plus costs for no operator license. James Kidd of Wellington fined 15 dollars plus costs for no operator license. Truckline Purchase Granted in Norwalk Express Deal
The Public Utilities Commission was expected to approve Norwalk Truck Lines purchase of Shirks Motor Express of Lancaster. Norwalk seeks about 2 million in convertible debentures to finance the deal, with Edward E. Knaub signaling likely approval and finalization once issued.
