Speaker urges support for governor's budget in Lorain luncheon
Roberta Steinbacher of the Ohio Bureau of Employment Services told local politicians and business leaders at the Holiday Inn that passage of Governor Celeste's budget is vital for jobs and education. She cited Lorain County funds including 4.2 million for capital improvements and 11 million for highway work in 1984 and warned a 30 percent income tax cut would burden property taxes. She urged listeners to make their voices heard in Columbus and hoped the budget passes this month.
