Retired Sea Captain Frank Brown Dies at 80
Captain Frank Brown died Monday at his home 124 Cedar Street in his 81st year after a brief illness. Born in Nottingham England he came to the United States at age six and became the youngest Great Lakes captain at twenty one piloting grain ships to England. He later served with the Rockefeller fleet and commanded vessels to the Atlantic Coast. He spent the last nineteen years as secretary treasurer of the Pythian Temple of Cleveland and was a long time Mason. He leaves six children two grandchildren and his widow. Funeral Wednesday at 2 PM at his home with burial at Ridgelawn under Masonic rites.
