Plea Deal in NSA Leak Case Reached in Drake Matter
The Justice Department reached a plea agreement with former NSA official Thomas Drake. He will plead guilty to excess use of a computer, a misdemeanor, with no jail time likely. If tried and convicted, he faced up to 35 years, but the deal limits punishment. Drake allegedly accessed NSANet and shared information with an unauthorized person between 2006 and 2007.
