Court ruling reopens some juveniles tried as adults in Ohio

Ohio Supreme Court limited automatic transfer of 16 or 17 year olds to adult court when a gun was used by an accomplice. The ruling centers on Derrick Hanning, 17, in Columbus where prosecutors had relied on a separate accomplice liability law. Cuyahoga County notes up to two dozen similar cases yearly.
