Vanderbilt Says Man's Ring Can Be Gift Of Bride
Dear Miss Vanderbilt answers a Cincinnati reader about whether a fiance should wear a Sigma Chi ring and if a Sigma Chi ring may be given as a wedding gift and used in the ceremony. The columnist says a fiance may wear the ring if he wishes and that a gift ring is proper but not suitable for the ceremony, noting a double ring ceremony would feature a simple gold ring. The piece shifts to New York society news about plastic treated awnings brightening summer scenes with mildew prevention and a plasticizer coating for weather resistance.
