Oberlin Council Meets Oberlin
The Oberlin village council approved pay raises for city employees and discussed buying a power plant lubricating oil and bidding for a new water works pump. A petition from 15 West Lorain street residents urged flood mitigation near West Lorain and Prospect. Mr Zahm was authorized to hire an engineer to study the issue. An ordinance raised Westwood Cemetery burial fees to 25 dollars for adults and 5 dollars for infants, with Zahm noting rates are lower than in many towns. The council authorized bids for a new water pump to replace the current one, which cannot handle the load. Admission list for Allen Hospital included Mrs Donald Catson Paul Bebb and Sally Salo.
