Loss May Not Be As Great As Expected in Elyria Football
Elyria High bears the loss of two 1939 lettermen and two other candidates ruled ineligible. Guard Howard Wood's absence will be felt by coach Roy Clymer who lacks ready substitutes. End Ed Kershaw flunked out after a strong start. Back Casey Dellisanti failed scholastically. Halfback Cliff Liversberger, not in Clymer’s 1940 plans, could have joined next season’s lineup, praised as an excellent runner.
