Driver knocks over power pole in Elyria
A driver in Elyria told police he tried to pass a car making a left turn and hit a utility pole on West Avenue near the 10th Street alley about 11 35 p m Wednesday. The crash damaged the Dodge Stratus and knocked out power to several homes as crews worked to restore electricity. Minor injuries were reported and the driver was taken to EMH Medical Center.
