Geneva Group Approves Mid Continent Exchange Offer
Geneva Telephone Co shareholders voted to accept Mid-Continent Tele phones offer exchanging 2.2 shares of Mid Continent common stock for each Geneva share. Directors approved the plan May 25 and shareholders confirmed it yesterday. The acquisition values Geneva at about $2.48 million in stock, adding seven affiliated systems with more than 65 000 tele phones serving parts of 15 counties in Northeastern Ohio and nearby areas. Mid Continent, a holding company headquartered locally, formed June 6 1900, now controls several regional lines.
