Blessing of Fleet at Lorain church unites car lovers
The Hungarian Reformed Church of Lorain held its seventh Blessing of the Fleet on Saturday inviting classic car and motorcycle enthusiasts to bless vehicles for safety. Pastor Jimmy Madsen and Harmony Johnson led prayers as Tony and Amy Jo West showed their 2001 Chevrolet Corvette and Les Bari arrived with his 1974 Pontiac GTO. Bari’s grandson Jacob Jorgensen, 4, had his pedal tractor blessed, marking a family friendly start to summer car-show season.
