Youth Center Problems Are Discussed
At the annual meeting of the Council of Youth Serving Agencies in the YWCA last night George W. McCausland urged that a youth canteen is not a cure all and that parent training remains essential. He said youth centers should be player created with limited rules and ongoing adult supervision, and that a permanent building is not required as ideas evolve from the youth themselves. The council outlined officers Denis Ryan, Gerald Leonard, Ralph Tibball, and others, and noted interim use of the YMCA gym for a summer program as they seek a suitable center site.
