Lorain Teacher Dies From Crash Injuries
Lorain fourth grade teacher Noemi Pagan, 38, who was injured in a head on collision in Sheffield Township last Tuesday, died Sunday at MetroHealth Medical Center. Pagan's husband Brian Pagan is a social studies teacher at a middle school.

Fire found near Vincent Elementary School playground
A small mulch fire at Vincent Elementary School in Sheffield Township was ruled suspicious and investigated by the Lorain County Sheriff. Ernest Phillips III, 18, of nearby residence, was charged with arson and related counts after allegedly confessing to pouring gasoline on the mulch and lighting a rag.

Tornado flatten 7 mile stretch in northwest Ohio killing seven
A tornado blasted a 7 mile wide by 7 mile long corridor southeast of Toledo causing seven deaths and widespread destruction. Dozens of homes and the Lake High School gym suffered severe damage as emergency services buildings were hit and vehicles overturned. Police reported extensive property loss and that all residents had been accounted for by Sunday.

Urban League Lorain County receives $1000 grant support
The Lorain County Urban League, part of a 12 chapter Ohio network, helps youth development fair housing and job placement with college tours and mentoring.
