Conviction Could Keep Carney Off The Road
Elyria County Engineer Kenneth P. Carney Sr was arrested Monday on a drunken driving charge and other offenses. A pretrial is set for June 26. The insurer CORSA would not cover a county employee with a DUI conviction, and county policy may bar driving on county time. Carney, 52, pleaded not guilty and posted a $1,900 bond. He refused sobriety tests and remained in the Lorain County system.
